Meanwhile, Chris Paul scored 32 points as Phoenix Suns won by 118-115 in the first Game of the NBA finals against the Milwaukee Bucks. Furthermore, he scored nine assists and made a stellar debut in the NBA finals.
Thus, the 36-year old has matched former Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan’s record. Paul finished with 30 points, nine assists and four rebounds as he came up with an all-round performance.
Chris Paul is the first player with 30 points and 8 assists in a Finals debut since Michael Jordan in 1991.
Paul continued his prolific form as he had scored 41 points in the last match (Game 6) of the Western Conference finals against the LA Clippers.
On the other hand, Paul has received support from Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. Booker was all praise for Paul as he said that the veteran is the greatest leader to play the game.
