Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry broke the highest three pointers record in their win against the New York Knicks. The record was earlier held by the legendary Ray Allen. The former Boston Celtics legend retired way back in 2014 and over the last decade Curry’s determination and perseverance has seen the Chef take over the three pointers record.
Curry required two three points heading into the game against New York Knicks and the Dubs talisman achieved the feat in the first quarter itself. The Warriors immediately fouled a timed out to celebrate the record with Stephen Curry.
Reactions have poured in from all corners of the world as experts fans and former players have all congratulated the Golden State Warriors legend. Curry’s achievement resulted in a headted argument among the TNT panel.
Charles Barkley spoke about players who like to go for three pointers especially like Curry, Klay Thompson, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. Barkley feels that everyone nowadays wants to be a three point shooter though they are not even good at long range shooting.
In the conversation, Barkley stated that Curry’s record will never be broken. “I think when you look at tonight, Wilt Chamberlain, 100 points, Joe DiMaggio, 56 games. This record ain’t never going to be broken! Because of this guy, at least another five years at his peak. And he’s going to set a record that nobody ever will come to again. And it’s beautiful to watch,” Barkley said in his argument.
Former Los Angeles Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal feels that if Curry maintains his momentum then it will be a very hard record to break for anyone coming up in the future. Shaq reasoned how the Chef will play for another four or five years and will build a huge record that will be almost impossible to break.
However coming to this season, Golden State Warriors have been in scintillating form. The Dubs are currently at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 23-5 record. The Golden State Warriors recently won against the New York Knicks 105-96 and will be looking to continue that winning form against the Boston Celtics in their next game.
