“I watch more EuroLeague than NBA,” Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic reveals

Luka Doncic is looking like the most promising and talked about player in the NBA this season as he continues to make a case for himself in the MVP race with top notch performances. He recorded his ninth triple double of this season against the New Orleans Pelicans as he dropped a sensational 34-point performance to help the Mavericks win a very close contest.

Doncic has been exceptional in the truest sense as he is averaging 34 points, 8.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists this season and is single handedly carrying the Dallas Mavericks forward without much support from the remaining players.

Following the 127-117 Mavericks win over the Pelicans, the Slovenian superstar was asked if he keeps tabs on the MVP race and how things are shaping up. Doncic came up with an honest answer of how he stays away from the action and even does not watch that much of NBA games during his free time.

“Not really. I watch some NBA games, but I watch more EuroLeague than NBA. But if it is a really good NBA game on TV, I will watch it,” he replied.

The youngster was then asked about LeBron James and his probability of catching the Los Angeles Superstar who is in his 20th season in the NBA. Considering how good the Slovenian star already is, many people believe that some of the young rising stars are fit enough to rule the NBA for two decades. While Doncic loves the idea, he feels it will be extremely difficult for his body to hold up. The Mavericks star was really appreciative of how LeBron James despite being in the 20th season in the NBA is scoring consistent points every night.

When asked about his probability of playing for two decades in tbhe NBA, Doncic responded, “No way in hell… It’s always a possibility, but it’s going to be really tough. You gotta have a guy that plays for 20yrs in that shape, how he holds up his body. I am just saying without basketball skills, it’s very hard to hold that body. If you’re saying me there’s no way because I’m not playing that much. It’s amazing to watch him. It’s his 20th season and he’s scoring 30-40 points every night.”

Doncic missed the Oklahoma city Thunder game due to ankle soreness and the Mavericks lost the encounter 120-109 despite Christian Wood and Spencer Dinwiddie’s best efforts. Anyways the Mavericks are still in fourth position in the Western Conference with a 23-18 record and that is helping them maintain a respectable position. The Mavericks fans will be hoping to see their talisman back for their next game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
