I’m nowhere near picking up a basketball yet – Steph Curry provides injury update

    December 22, 2022

Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry has confirmed it’s going to take him a few weeks before he will get back into action. The Dubs suffered a huge blow as Curry was ruled out with a left shoulder injury, which he suffered while playing against Indiana Pacers last week.

Curry revealed he is nowhere close to picking up a Basketball yet and wants to focus on his rehab. The linchpin suffered the shoulder injury with 2:04 left on the clock in the third quarter against the Pacers when he was taking on Jalen Smith.

The Dubs revealed Curry suffered a left shoulder subluxation but did not provide a timeline for his return. Curry was taken for scans which revealed the extent of his injury.

In an interview during the TNT broadcast of the Golden State Warriors’ game against the New York Knicks, Curry said, “I haven’t had an injury like this in the shoulder and it’s kind of a wait and see approach. I’m still in the early healing process so I’m nowhere near even like picking up a basketball yet. … It’ll be a few weeks. I’m thinking maybe til the New Year and I’ll start to key in on a timeline after that.”

Meanwhile, without Curry and Andrew Wiggins in their ranks, Golden State Warriors suffered a huge loss of 132-94 against New York Knicks on Tuesday night. This was the eighth consecutive win for the Knicks.

There is no doubt Curry holds the key for Golden State Warriors and in his absence players like Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Draymond Green will have to step up their game.

GSW have a 15-17 record in the ongoing season and they will next face Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
