It’s pretty dope that he’s now in the league as the No. 2 pick – Steph Curry heaps praise on Chet Holmgren

    August 9, 2022

Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry has showered praise on Chet Holmgren. The 20-year-old was recently drafted as the number two pick in the NBA draft by Oklahoma City Thunder.

While recalling an interesting story at Curry Camp 2022, Steph said it’s pretty dope that Holmgren is now in the league as the no.2 pick. Curry was playing against the youngster a couple of years ago and remembered how he got foxed by the upcoming star. Curry admitted that Holmgren gave him a dose of his own medicine.

“Chet hit me with my own move, little double behind the back … He finished it differently than I would though. I would have just pulled up from 3. He went to the basket and dunked on another dude. It’s pretty dope that he’s now in the league as the No. 2 pick,” Curry said.

Meanwhile, Curry Camp has seen many young players rise through the ranks. Players like Dennis Smith Jr., James Wiseman, and Chet Holmgren have hogged the limelight after their impressive show.

Curry is known to host Basketball camps for young boys and girls in order to give them the right exposure at an early age.

On the other hand, Steph Curry played a key role in taking Golden State Warriors to glory in the previous season of the NBA. This was Dubs fourth NBA championship in the last eight years as they continued their dynasty.

Curry averaged 25.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. He shot 43.7% from the field, including 38.0% from beyond the arc in the regular season.

The talisman took his game to another level as he averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steal while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best. Ergo, he bagged the Finals MVP award for the first time in his glorious career.
