Dallas Mavericks’ guard Luka Doncic has said that the team can still move into the Western Conference semi-finals ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers and that they will do all they can to progress.
The guard, in the game 2 of their series with Los Angeles Clippers, helped the team to a victory scoring 28 points in the 127 to 114 points win.
Despite the fact the player was forced out of the game in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks won the game to tie the series. He now has 70 points from the two series games.
Los Angeles Clippers are the favorites for the win in the seven-game series, but Doncic, who is a candidate for the NBA MVP this season, is adamant that the game 2 win is a pointer that they can get a shock over the Clippers.
After the win, the player stated that the opinion of Pundits about the Mavericks chances should change as the team will put 100 per cent efforts in getting the results needed.
“They should be saying we got a chance in this first round. A lot of people counted us out. I know a lot of people didn’t count us in. But I know they should be saying we got a chance. The thing about us is we are going to give everything 100 per cent and leave our hearts on the court. That’s the point for us.” Doncic was quoted saying.
In other team stories, Orlando Magic has been hit with injuries as Aaron Gordon, and Micheal Carter-Williams were both out of the game 2 of the series against Milwaukee Bucks.
Meanwhile, the NBA playoffs started on Monday, and on Wednesday, the latest 341 Covid-19 testing in the NBA Bubble review no positive results.
