The second week of the 2019/2020 NBA season was filled with some very interesting games. Players put in their best to see their team emerge victorious. Indeed it was a very thrilling week.
We began the week on Sunday with the Oklahoma City Thunder winning against Golden State Warriors by almost 30 points, with the final scoreline ending 92-120. In Tennessee, the Memphis Grizzlies topped their opponents, the Brooklyn Nets with just one point in a game that entered overtime.
It was a stroke of luck that made the Grizzlies win thanks to a last-minute three-point throw by Jae Crowder. Elsewhere, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat Miami Heat 116 – 109, as the Portland Trailblazers beat the Dallas Mavericks 121 – 119.
The remaining days were quite as fun as the first day. The New York Knicks were the winners in their feature against the Chicago Bulls, with a 98 – 105 scoreline. In Milwaukee, the Bucks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 129 – 112. This may have been in the spirit of revenge after having lost to the Miami Heat in their first game of the season. Defending champions, Toronto Raptors won their game against Orlando Magic.
Dallas Mavericks finished their game with 3 points ahead of their opponent, the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets again were beaten by the New Orleans Pelican on Thursday in a very interesting game. The final scoreline was 107 – 122. On Friday, the New York Knicks were two points short of victory as the Bolton Celtics claimed their 5th win for the season, 102 – 104.
The Philadelphia 76ers led the Portland Trailblazers with just one point, winning 129 – 128 on their Saturday fixture.
That is just a brief insight into what went down last week. This week would be packed with more interesting games that we would review some other time.
