PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe may submit transfer request if the French outfit fail to go past Bayern Munich in the Champions League

    February 8, 2023

Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe is someone who is always looking to win matches. Not only for PSG, his desire to win was visible when he featured in the World Cup finals for France against Argentina. The young forward wishes to win the Champions League and with the French outfit facing a tough test against Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the tournament.

According to several sources and reports, Mabppe is very serious about the Champions League this time and a failure to go past Bayern may result in a transfer request from the French superstar. The French champions came close in 2020 when they were beaten in the finals of the Champions League courtesy of a goal from their former player, Kingsley Coman. However after that a lot has changed for both the clubs and in spite of spending a lot of money in the transfer window over the years PSG have not managed to win Champions League. Therefore it is something that Mbappe wants to change and hence he is prepared to take drastic steps if they fall short once again.

Spanish outlet Marca has reported that Mbappe will be considering his future at the club if they go out of the Champions League against Bayern. He was in contention to join Real Madrid in the last transfer window but then he shockingly decided to extend his contract and stay on. But now if he decides to make a move away from Paris, his primary destinations will be among Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Mbappe has been in sensational form for the Paris outfit as he has scored 25 goals and provided six assists in 26 games across competitions. However according to latest reports the Frenchman won’t be available to Christophe Galtier in the first leg of the Bayern clash as he is sidelined due to injury.

Speaking on the upcoming clash former French International Bixente Lizarazu feels that Galtier is over dependant on Lionel Messi,. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to always produce the goods for his team. The former World cup winning left-back who also plied his trade for Bayern feels that Galtier is yet to find the right balance in his team.

“It’s worrying but after Bayern , it’s not a steamroller either. They also have their difficulty, so it can be balanced. But it is true that Christophe Galtier , we have the impression that he is still looking for his team, his balance,” Lizarazu told Telefoot.

The Frenchman also highlights Mbappe’s unavailability in the first leg and how Bayern will be looking to capitalize on it from the start and take an early advantage over the tie making things easier for them.

“And so far he can’t find it. This team is always dependent on its stars. Obviously, the absence of Kylian Mbappé in the first game is a big problem because he scares all defenses with his quality of speed, his depth. Paris Saint-Germain is obviously less dangerous without Kylian Mbappé,” the former French left-back concluded.
