Steph just won a championship; KD is still hooping; Embiid is killing – Giannis Antetokounmpo denies being face of the league

    November 17, 2022

Milwaukee Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo has denied claims that he is the face of the league. The Greek Freak said that Steph has just won the championship, LeBron is still playing, KB is still hooping, Embiid is killing while Nikola Jokic has won back-to-back MVPs and thus the big players are delivering on the big stage for their respective teams.

Antetokounmpo has been doing a consistent job for Milwaukee Bucks and had led the team to the championship in NBA 2020-21 season. The 27-year-old from Athens was also awarded the NBA finals MVP in the successful season for the team.

Antetokounmpo admitted that he still has a long way to go while talking to his teammate Serge Ibaka in the new season of the latter’s YouTube show How Hungry Are You?

Giannis said, “LeBron [James] is still playing. Steph [Curry] just won a championship. KD [Kevin Durant] is still hooping. [Joel] Embiid is killing. [Nikola] Jokic back-to-back MVP. Luka [Doncic] magic. There are a lot of people out there.”

Giannis added he always tries to give his best on the court and wants to play a key role in the team’s success.

“I just try to play as hard as I can. And I give it all. There’s no off days for me. There’s no… I might not play well, but the energy and effort is going to be behind me.”

The linchpin added that there are areas in his game where he wants to improve and feels he hasn’t yet reached his full potential.

“I believe I need to reach my potential. I feel like I still have a little gap that I have to reach. So I always try to come ready, and prepared. Whenever I play, I try to give everything that I have. And I feel like some people understand that I have that mentality, but some people don’t.”

Milwaukee Bucks currently have a 10-3 record and they will next take on the Cavaliers Cleveland on Wednesday night.
