    LeBron James and Steph Curry

The gap between LeBron James and Steph Curry is Grand Canyon – Colin Cowherd

    June 21, 2022

Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry led the Dubs to NBA Championship as they defeated Boston Celtics by 103-90 in Game 6 to win the series by 4-2. Curry is often compared with LeBron James and now the former also has the same number (four) of championships as the latter.

The 34-year-old veteran also won the Finals MVP award, one title which was missing in his impressive resume. On the other hand, LeBron James has won four Finals MVPs in his glorious career. Thus, NBA analyst Colin Cowherd reckons the gap between LeBron James and Steph Curry is Grand Canyon and feels the former is miles ahead of the latter.

Furthermore, players like Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic are also being compared with James as they have impressed with their game. However, Cowherd believes the Lakers’ legend is in a league of his own.

Colin Cowherd said on his podcast, The Herd, “You gonna tell me you wanna put Jayson Tatum and Luka in the same club as LeBron?” Cowherd started. “You’ve gotta have a VIP room upstairs with only LeBron in it. The gap between Steph and Tatum is the Grand Canyon, the gap between LeBron and Steph is the Grand Canyon.”

Cowherd likened James to legendary Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.

“You can’t just be throwing guys in there because they have back-to-back really nice years and they’re All-Stars,” Cowherd said. “There’s a lot of movies with movie stars, there’s one Tom Cruise.”

Meanwhile, Curry averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steal while shooting 48.2% overall in the NBA Finals as he was at his best. On the other hand, LeBron James’ LA Lakers could not even qualify for the playoffs as they could not come up with a collective show and their progress was also hampered by injuries.
