Since Brooklyn Nets talisman Kevin Durant has requested a trade, there have been a lot of speculations regarding his next team. Durant brings a lot of experience and class with him and any team which will finally bag him, will definitely add a lot of value to their squad.
NBA analyst Joy Taylor believes Miami Heat will best suit Kevin Durant as they have a standard, culture and they have also won. Durant could not make a winning combination with Jame Harden and Kyrie Irving with Brooklyn Nets.
Meanwhile, Irving decided to opt into $36.5 million option to stay with Brooklyn Nets but it is reported that he could also leave the franchise if Durant makes a move to another team.
Joy Taylor said while talking On The Herd with Colin Cowherd, “Knowing me, obviously, the Heat is the No.1 destination for me for Kevin Durant. Obviously, I’d love to see Kevin Durant go to the Miami Heat because I’m selfish, and I would be insufferable if this happens.
“I also think this would make sense. And I don’t just think that there’s reports that he wants to go to the Heat or the Suns.”
She added that Heat will be the best team for Durant as it has the experience of winning before.
“The other part of this that I think will be great for Kevin Durant outside of the city of Miami, which is a wonderful place to live, is they have a standard, they have a culture, they have won. They were one Jimmy Butler three from going to the finals. So, this is not a situation where it’s a bunch of players thrown together, they don’t have any history of being able to make things work, elevate stars. Clearly, the Big 3 is the best example of that. So, this will be a great destination for Kevin Durant.”
Meanwhile, Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in the previous season of the NBA but he played only 55 matches as he was recovering from an MCL injury.
