Warriors talisman Stephen Curry has been a trailblazer in this generation’s NBA. His presence has changed the entire narrative of the game of Basketball. His panache, languid elegance and grace has only lifted the standards of the sport. People now are working hard on their long range shooting from an early age.
Therefore once Steph Curry retires he will have a legacy on how he influenced the NBA to play his way. Famously known as the Chef or the Baby Faced Assasin Curry is among the great of the games especially in the three-point era of the NBA. He has also developed some signature moves one of which is the no look three pointer . The whole idea of the move is the way he makes such a difficult skill look so effortless is simply mind blowing.
Recently the Chef has revealed to The Athletic about his signature move and all the details surrounding it. Curry is a player who does not only have the gift of long range shooting but is also a mad consistent player. So there is hardly anyone more confident in their abilities than the Warriors talisman.
It is never easy when you are in the NBA and are spear heading the Warriors. There is always pressure but Curry instead of feeling pressure feels the energy of his teammates. When the first time he did the no look three pointer it was because of the driving force of his teammates.
Stephen Curry explained, “It was the magnitude of the moment. First playoff series. Unreal atmosphere. We were making a third-quarter run. I don’t know what it was about that moment. Just, I was feeling it. I could feel everybody behind me. I don’t know. It was like the perfect storm. Feeling their presence, the rhythm of the shot. Everything felt perfect. And I did it.”
Spaking of the first time he score from a no look three pointer, we have to look back in 2013 as the Warriors faced the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs. It was Curry’s first experience of the playoffs series and he wanted to make the most out of it. While the Warriors were leading a run in the third quarter, Steph got the ball in the corner, right in front of the Denver bench as he gave the defender a pump fake and had all the time in the world. While the ball was still in mid-air Curry turned back and silenced the Denver bench as the ball dropped in.
Ever since that game Curry often does the look away three pointer and has made it a truly signature move. It is just another reason to prove why the Warriors talisman is the greatest shooter of all time.
