Fury Denies Rumours Of Loaded Gloves

WBC Champion, Tyson Fury has finally addressed allegations that followed his victory over Deontay Wilder in February, after knocking the latter out in the seventh round.

From that moment, there had been rumours in some quarters, including Wilder’s camp, even though Wilder himself has not mentioned this, that Fury did not fight a fair fight. The rumours stated that he had his gloves loaded to ensure maximum damage.

Fans had speculated that something was not right about Fury’s gloves and various footage have appeared online that attempt to show that indeed something was wrong with the boxer’s gloves, although that could have been mere illusions. This has, however, not stopped the disgruntled fans from pushing their allegations.

One chief person to speak on it from Fury’s side was his cutman for the rematch, Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran, who insisted that Fury fought fair and square, stating that it would have been impossible for him to cheat because the gloves were inspected and he was watched while fixing them on.

He said, ‘I’ll give you the facts, the Nevada State Athletic Commission is one of the best commission in the world, they handle the gloves until it’s time to put them on. There was no tampering whatsoever, I was there. It’s just a big myth. None of that happened, but it’s good for discussion.”

Now The Gypsy King himself has taken to popular social media app, Instagram, to touch those rumours in a video he released. He said, “This is a quick video to address this foul play talk from Deontay Wilder and his team. I just read an article saying that I might have had a blunt object in my gloves. Yeah, two nine stone, two hundred and seventy-five-pound destroyers in each glove. So yeah, getting cuffed in the temple, it may do that to you.

But not unless Deontay Wilder’s trainer Jay Deas is in on the conspiracy as well, along with all the Las Vegas [Nevada] State Commission guys that never left the room. Jay Deas was in the room while I was having my hands wrapped, and he examined them.

He was in there when I had my gloves put on, and examined them. And everyone else was in the room and didn’t leave. We all know this. So for everybody sighting foul play, bull-s***, and the next time, I’ll put a dent in his boxing career and end it because it’ll be two knockout losses in a row. Bye-bye forever,” said Fury.

So there you have it. Fury was heavily supervised while he put on his gloves, meaning it would have been very impossible for any foul place to have occurred, without implicating people from Wilder’s camp and the Nevada Athletic Competition. Wilder’s fans would just have to wait for the rematch and hope their champion fights better this time around.
