The 2020/21 Premier League season has already kicked off in earnest. With two rounds of games already played, we have witnessed some fascinating football already. There have been great goals scored, and remarkable matches played so far.
Liverpool are the defending Champions but will face stiff opposition from Manchester City. At the same time, the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Leicester City, Chelsea, and Tottenham will battle for the European spots.
Fulham, Leeds United and West Brom all secured their spots back in the Premier League from the Championship.
Here are our predictions for the 2020/21 EPL season.
- West Bromwich Albion to be relegated
Slaven Bilić’s men secured their promotion to the 2020/21 Premier League season after they finished in the second position behind Leeds United in the Championship season.
West Bromwich Albion did little to bolster their squad for this season. They have also lost their first two games of the season while putting out poor performances in both.
- Liverpool to retain their title
The Reds finished last season with aplomb. They won the Premier League with a huge points margin and consistently dismantled their opponents in every fixture.
Jurgen Klopp’s men don’t look like they are ready to give their EPL crown any time soon. They increased their squad depth with the signings of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich, and Diogo Jota from Wolves.
- Arsenal to make top four
Mikel Arteta had gradually improved the mentality at Arsenal. The Gunners are playing like a solid team and with more fluidity. They also need to make sure they are consistent against their opponents this season.
However, you with the form of Chelsea and Manchester United, Arsenal looks like to pip one of them to stop four finish.
- Aubameyang to finish as topscorer
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is undoubtedly one of the most lethal forwards in the Premier League. The Gabonese striker has found his feet under Emery and looks set to score more goals this season.
However, Mohammed Salah, Gabriel Jesus and Harry Kane will be his strongest opponents to claim the golden shoe.
- Leeds United to finish among the top 10
Leeds United were incredible last season in the Championship. Under the tutelage of coaching legend, Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds has become a formidable attacking force to reckon with.
Although they will face stiff opposition from the likes of Wolves, Everton and Sheffield United, Leeds will finish above the bottom half of the league.
