Indications in Italy have shown that Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi could leave the club after the exit of Antonio Conte, who secured their first Scudetto for them after a decade.
The latest happening in the club has made the club management shortlist four possible replacements for the Morocco international.
While stating that every player has his price, Hakimi’s agent, who is also managing Lautaro Martinez, denied that the right-back is in talks with PSG.
As this sounds unexpected for a top player who has just played one season at the club, Nerazzuri is looking for a way to generate 78m Euros from players’ sales to balance the book and stay afloat. Part of the players’ sacrifices was to leave out their championship bonus to support the due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although fans are now being allowed into the stand in a limited capacity, this is not expected to change their position, making Conte left.
Therefore, the 22-year-old might be one of the top players they need to sell in the summer to keep the books in order after joining the club from Real Madrid in a €40m deal last summer. According to reports in Italy, Inter could generate as high as €60m from his sale in the upcoming transfer window.
This is why the club is being linked with some replacement all ready for him. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Alessandro Florenzi and Emerson Royal remain the club’s main targets. PSG could be an easy option for the Nerazzurri since PSG are not making his loan move from Roma permanent.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Royal, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Beti Real before, is the priority target of the Serie A champions. Barcelona also needs to sell some players to raise fund for incoming transfers as well. They could generate €20m from that.
Other options are Davide Zappacosta, and Emerson Palmieri.
