Reports have emerged that Paris Saint-Germain may lose defender Achraf Hakimi this summer.
This follows reports that the Moroccan is interested in leaving the French club to return to Real Madrid. According to journalist Jorge Picon, his main reason for wanting to exit is a lack of support. This has left him unhappy in the French capital, and he would be excited by a move to Los Blancos.
Hakimi came into the news recently over a divorce case with his wife, Hiba Abouk. The divorce proceeding was due to a rape charge Hakimi is still facing.
The full-back is familiar to Madrid, having come up through their youth system.
After spending two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Inter bought him in 2020 for around €40 million. A year later, he joined the Ligue 1 giant for a massive €60 million.
According to reports, Hakimi is uncomfortable with his situation at Parc De Princes and feels that he has not been supported enough by the club. He looks forward to leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
However, he might not be able to return to Real Madrid. This is because Los Blancos are unwilling to prioritize signing a right-back for the season as Carlo Ancelotti’s men are expected to focus on their spending on midfield, with Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham scheduled to arrive for a massive fee.
A move to Real Madrid may be unlikely, and the Moroccan might stay at PSG with his contract with Les Parisiens ending in 2026.
Another reason is that the relationship between the two clubs seems strained due to the Mbappe deal the previous season.
Anything can happen in the upcoming summer windows. So far, the right price is tendered by an interesting party for the right back.
