The Premier League released the list of its nominations for the various categories of the Premier League awards for the 2023/2024 season, and some of the league’s best players and coaches have been recognized for their immense contributions to their various teams this season in English top flight.
The three categories released on Thursday include the Premier League Player of the Season, the Premier League Manager of the Season, and the Premier League Young Player of the Season.
All three categories are dominated by title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal players, while the current holder of the Premier League Player of this Season award, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, stands a chance to retain his award.
However, he will be competing with teammate Phil Foden, Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Liverpool’s skipper Virgil van Dijk and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins are also nominated.
The Premier League manager of the season category is also fiercely contested, with Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola nominated alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola.
