Arsenal’s German midfielder Mesut Ozil and French Forward Alexandre Lacazette have indicated how the dressing room at the Emirates Stadium has been under the charge of Spaniard Mikel Arteta.
The duo affirmed their trust in the tactical changes that the former Manchester City’s assistant manager has brought to the team.
However, since taking over from Interim Manager Freddie Ljungberg, the Gunners since December has only won three times.
Also, the team sits in the tenth position in the English Premier League table despite the manager having overseen seven games since he took over in December.
The German midfielder, while granting an interview at the team’s their Dubai training camp stated that the team is happier and that every individual is ready to give 100%.
Ozil believes there is unity in the team and that there has been an improvement tactically with hopes that success will come very soon.
While the results have not improved significantly, Ozil and Lacazette feel the team has united under Arteta’s tactical philosophy.
French Striker, Alexander Lacazette has endured a draught in front of goal having not scored since Arteta took over, spoke in relation to Ozil’s statements revealing that the Gunners players are now unified with a better tactical understanding on and off the pitch.
The team has drawn four and won one of its last five Premier League games with the win coming in a 2-0 victory against Manchester United on New year’s day.
The other two wins have come in the English FA Cup where they beat Leeds United 1-0 in the round of 32 and Bournemouth 2-1 in the round of 16.
They will host Newcastle at the Emirates stadium on the 16th of February before travelling to Greece for Europa League tie against Olympiacos.
