Austrian football club FC Salzburg has qualified for next year’s prestigious Club World Cup, which is set to take place in the United States. The club’s qualification comes as a result of Bayern Munich’s narrow 3-2 aggregate win over Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals this Wednesday.

UEFA’s own ranking system for European competitions places Salzburg as the 40th strongest team in Europe, a stark contrast to the heavyweights of the continent but a respectable position for the Austrian club.
