    Bayern Munich sack Niko Kovac

    November 4, 2019

Bayern Munich has parted ways with Niko Kovac after a humiliating loss to Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayern has reportedly sacked Manager Niko Kovac after the 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt. The Club has revealed on this website that the decision was based on mutual agreement between both parties, they had to let him go after the massive loss. The colossal loss left Bayern languishing in the fourth position on the log.

Kovac won the Bundesliga and the league cup double for Bayern back in May; this makes him the first man to acquire such achievement as a player and Coach.

But things haven’t gone as planned as Kovac revealed that it is the right decision for the Club at the moment. He acknowledged that the results so far and their pattern of play had gone wrong, which has made the Club hierarchy to make such a decision.

He said on the club website that ” I want to thank Bayern for the past one and half years I spent with them, during this time, our team has won the Bundesliga and the league cup twice. I wish the Club all the best”.

The team will be taken over by assistant coach Hans Flick temporarily ahead to Wednesday’s clash with Olympiakos in the Champions League and next week showdown with Borussia Dortmund.

The Chief Executive of the Club, Karl- Heinz Rummenigge, revealed that the team’s performance and results in recent weeks calling for drastic action. He further explained that himself, together with Uli Höeness and Hasan Salihamidzic, came along and took the decision.

“We would like to thank Kovac for his efforts and his achievements so far for the club.” He said.

Bayern remains fourth on the log table behind table-toppers Borussia Monchengladbach with 18 points from 10 matches, which include five wins.

Bayern Munich are backed at 1.45 to win the German Bundesliga, while table-toppers Monchengladbach are fancied at 26.00.
