Celtic have made plans to do away with fullback Boli Bolignoli this summer just after a year of purchase.
There have been reports that Neil Lennon has made a full back personal one of his main priorities come next summer window.
However, a reported source who is close to the hierarchy in the club said the club chiefs are willing to sell the Bolignoli, who has failed to live up to the hype that once brought him to Celtic Park this season.
It has not been figured out yet if the Hoops can get so much as what they paid for him last year, July.
Greg Taylor has, however, drawn the attention of Lennon and his coaching staff with his performance following his brilliant development after he joined on transfer deadline day back in September.
21-year old Taylor kicked off the season deputizing for Bolignoli, but he has slowly taken over from the 24-year old Bolignoli and cementing his place in the left-back role as the first choice in the team.
Both players were signed last season following a massive overhaul, which saw the departure of Kieran Tierney and Mikael Lustig, respectively. The Hoops signed five new full-backs [two on the left and three on the right] as replacements
Bolignoli’s poor recent display might have been what the club hierarchy saw and considered before deciding to put him for sale. His performance in the derby match defeat to Rangers was below par as his position was exploited far too often.
The Belgian has made just one senior appearance in the Scottish cup against Clyde with 28 appearances so far this season.
The SPFL season is currently on hold due to the CORVID-19 pandemic outbreak
