    February 1, 2022

Tottenham were busy on the transfer deadline day on Monday as Juventus midfielders Kulusevski, and Bentancur joined the club, while Tanguy Ndombele leaves.

Kulusevski only joined Juventus in 2020, but the 21-year old has now moved to the Premier League on a one and a half year loan deal with an £8.3M tag, while the option to buy is around £29M.

Following Kulusevski to the Premier League is Rodrigo Bentancur, and the 24-year old joined Spurs on a permanent basis till 2026 in a deal worth £15.9M.

However, Spurs record-signing Tanguy Ndombele who now returns to Lyon for the rest of the season.

Ndombele joined Spurs in 2019 but has not had a spectacular time at the White Hart Lane despite being the club’s record signing.

Meanwhile, Spain winger Bryan Gil, 20 joined Valencia on loan until the end of the season, while Giovani lo Celso has also joined Villarreal on loan for the rest of the season.

Former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has returned to the Premier League with Brentford on a six-month deal.

The Denmark midfielder suffered Cardiac Arrest during the Euro 2020 group-stage game against Finland and has not played since then. Although he was contracted to Inter Milan, Seria A rules do not allow players fitted with an implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) to play in Italy leading to the termination of his contract in December.

Meanwhile, Brentford manager Thomas Frank praised Eriksen’s quality and what he will add to the team.

“We have taken an unbelievable opportunity to bring a world-class player to Brentford”, head coach Thomas Frank said.

Christian Eriksen won the Serie A with Inter Milan last season but with Spurs Eriksen scored 69 goals in 305 appearances.
