Real Madrid and Belgium forward, Eden Hazard will hope to be a part of Belgium’s team to this summer’s Euro 2020 after successfully undergoing surgery on his broken ankle.
The forward had fractured his right ankle in a 1-0 loss to Levante on February 22, and he had the surgery in the United States of America on Thursday.
The surgery had happened under the supervision of Real Madrid team Doctors in Dallas, and the former Chelsea forward will continue to recuperate under the watchful eyes of the club doctors as he undergoes rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has stated his optimism that the £88.5m summer accusations from Chelsea will be fully fit for the European Championship.
He has struggled to impact on the Santiago Bernabeau side having only scored one time in 15 games.
The Belgian Skipper has missed Real Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League and a 2-0 victory in the El Clasico.
Real Madrid are now back to the top of The La Liga standings after the victory with 56 from 26 matches played.
The Los Blancos have scored 48 goals, and seventeen conceded. Zinedine Zidane’s men will face Real Betis in their next La Liga game on March 8.
After that is a home tie against Eibar on the 13th or March also in the La Liga. Before a trip to England to face Manchester City on March 17 in the UEFA Champions League second leg of Round 16.
There will also be games against Valencia on March 21 followed and a trip in Real Sociedad on April 5.
They will hope to get maximum results from the fixtures as they hope to strengthen their one-point lead over Barcelona.
