Everton Shows Interest In Norwich’s Max Aarons

    February 25, 2021

Norwich City midfielder Max Aarons has become a target for Premier League side Everton who joins a plethora of Europe’s elite clubs to show interest in the youngster.

The English youth international is rated at £35M and he has been on the radar of Manchester United and Bayern Munich recently.

The Merseyside club sees the right-back as a replacement for Seamus Coleman whose contract enters it final year in July.

Norwich City’s promotion or otherwise will not affect the sale of the player as his exit becomes increasingly inevitable.

Norwich’s majority owner Delia Smith revealed recently that the club that the player’s potentials is not mean for the club.

“Luckily, because of this wonderful team behind the scenes, we have some really lovely players. They’ve got a nice temperament and Max Aarons is one of the best. He is going to be one of the top footballers and it won’t be at Norwich. He knows that, we know that. But we didn’t have any problem with Max or his parents on this particular occasion and this particular deal. Obviously, we will lose him, but that is part of our plan.” Smith said.

Meanwhile, bids from Roma worth £20m was rejected according to reports while Barcelona were also interested during the January transfer window.

The Canaries continued their quest for a return to the Premier League with a 3-1 win away at Birmingham on Tuesday evening.

Striker Teemu Pukki scored a brace, while Oliver Skipp scored a late goal to ensure that Daniel Farke’s men went ten points clear on top of the Championship table temporarily.

Norwich’s lead was cut to seven points with Brentford’s 3-0 win against Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.

The Carrow road side will play Wycombe on Sunday in their next game in the championship.
