FA Cup third-round: Norwich City Gets Coventry, Arsenal To Face Newcastle

    December 1, 2020

Premier League leaders Tottenham will face Northern Premier League side Marine in the third round of the FA Cup.

On Monday evening, the draws made pitted Jose Mourinho’s side with Marine, who are just the second eighth-tier side to reach the third round.

FA Cup defending champions Arsenal will play Newcastle while Liverpool against Aston Villa is another all-Premier League tie.

Manchester City and Manchester United will play Birghminghan and Watford, while West Ham will play Stockport.

Norwich City will be at home to Coventry City, and Crystal Palace will be away to Wolverhampton, Everton will play Rotherham.

Chelsea FC will play Morecambe while Leicester City will face Stoke City.

The ties will be played over the weekend of 8-11 January 2021.

Meanwhile, in the English Premier League matches played on Monday evening, Leicester City lost at home to Fulham 2-1.

Ademola Lookman and Ivan Cavaleiro scored for the visitors in the first half, while Harvey Barnes pulled one for the hosts.

Similarly, West Ham United beat Aston Villa 2-1 in Monday’s second game. Angelo Ogbona opened the scoring for the home side before Jack Grealish equalized before half time.

Jarrod Bowen made it 2-1 to the hosts in the second half, and Ollie Watkins had the chance to equalize for Aston Villa, but he missed a spot-kick awarded against Declan Rice.

Watkins amended his mistake as he scored the equalizer in stoppage time, but the Video Assistant Referee disallowed it for an offside in the build-up.
