German forward Kai Havertz scored Chelsea’s winning goal on Wednesday evening as they beat Watford 2-1 at the Vicarage road. The game which started slowly saw a disruption in the 11th minute after a health issue in the stands.

Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis scored the equaliser just before the half time break. Havertz then scored the winner in the 71st minute as the Blues maintained a one point lead over Manchester City who beat Aston Villa at the Villa Park.
Ruben Dias and Bernado Silva’s first half goals ensured that Ollie Watkins goal immediately after the restart was only a consolation for Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa team. The win saw Pep Guardiola’s side one point away from Chelsea at the top of the table while they are a point ahead of Liverpool who also won big in the Merseyside derby.
