Celtic star forward Odsonne Edouard is a reported target for three Italian clubs, but they were all put off by the price tag attached to the player.
The Hoops have been receiving several interests in their star attacker, who has been scoring endlessly for fun and backing his reputation with a lot of hard work every day at Celtic Park.
The Management Board at Celtic has assured the fans times and over again that they would not be losing their key man at the front in January. Manager Neil Lennon has also confirmed that he is not looking forward to selling his most valuable asset, but that has not stopped suitors approaching him.
Three teams in Serie A Napoli, Roma, and Lazio, have all shown interest in Odsonne Edouard. But if the club is willing to sell him, they are certainly not to let him go on the cheap. Celtic sold their former striker Moussa Dembele who was the regular team goalscorer to French side Lyon for an undisclosed fee. And they brought in France under-21 international in as his replacement and reports have emerged that the forward could be sold in the region that Dembele was sold if he finally leaves Celtic Park.
Odsonne Edouard’s contract with the club currently runs till the end of 2021/’22 season, so there is no need for the Scottish side to panic over the sale of their brilliant forward. It will be hard for Celtic to let go of his services anytime soon. This is because he is the only striker who is fully fit for the club as they have a lot of relevant matches coming up.
The forward’s attention was drawn when his performances against Lazio in the Europa League was electrifying. He became a thorn in the flesh at the Italian defense. The 21-year-old forward has scored a total of 13 goals in all competitions this season and also one of the leading scorers in the SPFL as he looks forward to adding to the tally in the coming weeks.
Jermaine Defoe is fancied at 3.05 to finish as top scorer in the Scottish Championship, while Odsonne Edouard is pegged at 3.30.
