The latest update from Paris Sainte-Germain has indicated that star player, Kylian Mbappé is a doubt for next weekend’s match against Lille.
It was revealed that the young striker could be out of action due to an ENT infection.
Meanwhile, a further assessment by the medical team will take place in 48 hours for the Frenchman.
According to the injury update from the club, Verratti will be out of action for an estimated four weeks. He returned to the treatment table after sustaining a left hip injury in the 0-0 draw against Marseille on Sunday night.
Concerning summer signing, Sergio Ramos, the Spaniard is still training separately. According to the club, the former Real Madrid captain could return to full training with the rest of the team next week.
The Argentine midfielder, Leandro Paredes is also out of action due to a hip injury. He has been scheduled to regain his fitness and be back to action after the next international break.
PSG will be facing the defending champions on Friday night for the opening game of Matchday 12 of the Ligue 1 season.
PSG remains on top of the log with 28 points from 11 games. They are followed by RC Lens with 21 points while OGC Nice and Olympique Marseille completed the top four with 19 and 18 points respectively.
Lille is currently 10th on the log with 15 points gathered from the same number of games.
This may not stop Mauricio Pochettino from using the 4-3-3 formation. This means Angel Di Maria could be drafted in to replace Mbappe, should he misses a match fitness.
So far, Mbappe, who had wanted a move away from the club to Real Madrid in the summer has scored six goals so far, five in the Ligue 1 and one in the Champions League.
Thus Pochettino can back on the trio of Di Maria, Lionel Messi whom some have said is being isolated and Neymar in the attacking set-up.
