Manchester City and Spurs inseparable in after six-goal thriller, FA Cup 4th round fixtures revealed

    December 5, 2023

Sunday’s big clash in the Premier League between Manchester City and Tottenham delivered a masterclass as both teams settled for a 3-3 draw at Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side hosted Ange Postecoglu’s men, who have endured a dip in form after a massive start to the season. The first ten minutes of the encounter was explosive as South Korean star Son Heung-Min quickly went from hero to villain.

Son Heung-min raced onto Dejan Kulusevski’s ball on the counter and squeezed it underneath Ederson in the sixth minute of the game. Three minutes later, Spurs almost immediately relinquished their advantage through an own goal for Son, who this time turned into his own net from Bernardo Silva’s free kick.

Phil Foden put the home side ahead in the 31st minute as they went into the break with the lead, although Giovanni Lo Celso pulled Spurs level in the 70th minute.

Jack Grealish thought he had the winner for Manchester City in the 81st minute until Dejan Kulusevski rescued a point for Spurs on the 90th-minute mark.

The result puts Manchester City three places and three points behind table-topping Arsenal. Liverpool are in second place with two points, and the Gunners after their own seven-goal thriller in a 4-3 win over Fulham.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Liverpool have been drawn to face each other in the fourth round of the FA Cup after the draws were revealed on Sunday.
