Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Manchester City will have Nathan Ake in their squad next season after Bournemouth agreed on a fee of £40m pounds for the defender.
After getting relegated from the Premier League, Bournemouth are destined to lose some of their top stars, and Ake is one of the few shining lights of the disappointing season for Eddie Howe’s side.
The Dutch defender joined the club from Chelsea for a club-record fee three years ago playing 121 times for the Vitality stadium side.
Tyrone Mings, who moved from Bournemouth to Aston Villa for a fee of £20m pounds last season, was previously the player sold for the highest amount ever by the cherries.
Thirteen international appearances and 29 matches in the Premier League this season, is what the 25 years old have in terms of experience, and it is understood that his deal could have £1m pounds excess from add-ons.
Manchester City finished off as the second-best team in the Premier League, albeit with 18 points away from the winners Liverpool while Bournemouth finished 18th on the log.
Meanwhile, this season winners of the English FA Cup winners will have their trophy presentation on the pitch in order to reduce the risk of spreading the Covid-19.
“We all have mental health, and we can all do more to support each other – and that starts with talking.” The Duke of Cambridge was quoted from the FA Cup final program by BBC.
Two London rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea, will battle for the trophy at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Interestingly, both managers, Mikel Arteta for Arsenal and Frank Lampard for Chelsea, will be aiming for their first trophy as a manager after winning it as players for their respective clubs.
