Manchester United star midfielder Bruno Fernandes recently claimed that he won’t be too tired of playing each and every minute from each and every game this season.
United’s match against Liverpool got rescheduled to May 13 and that meant that the Red Devils will have four matches in a space of a week. The schedule needs a big lineup of players which their head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can use by resting and rotating players as per his needs.
However the Portuguese attacking midfielder does not want to ask Solskjaer to give him any break but instead, he wants his coach to know that he is always available. Bruno recently told the club’s official website, “For me, the most important [thing] is playing. When the coach wants me, it’s important to know I’m ready to play every game, every minute.
“I will never say I’m [too] tired to play because this is my dream. I will never be tired of playing.
“When I was a kid, I played maybe seven or eight hours a day. So, to play 90 minutes every three days or two days is not enough for me.”
Bruno Fernandes has been relentless for the Red Devils and his statistics this season speak for themselves. They are currently in the second position in the English Premier League and are also almost in the Europa League finals after winning the first leg of the semis 6-2 against AS Roma.
Fernandes and his teammate Marcus Rashford are a goal behind Borussia Dortmund marksman Erling Haaland in terms of scoring charts in European competitions. So when quizzed whether that record is on his mind or not. Bruno said, “No. For me, helping Rashy (Rashford) to pass him is more important for me.
“I’m there to serve my strikers. It doesn’t matter if I pass him or Rashy passes him. I will be happy anyway because I give many assists. If we both go ahead of him? That would be good and we draw at the end!”
United will be eager to finish the season on a high by winning the Europa League and also winning the last few matches in the Premier League to finish on a high note at the second position in the points table.
