Bayern Munich and German Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer have reportedly been attracting a lot of attention from Premier League side Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
It has not been rosy for the Bavarians during the past few days as regards the team arrangement for the coming season as David Alaba continues to be linked way from the club, with the latest news making the rounds that Austrian international is reportedly interested in a swap deal with former manager and present coach of the premier league side Manchester City.
Currently, another top player in the squad is being linked with a move away from the club.
According to reports, in Germany, Chelsea is interested in getting Manuel Neuer as the summer approaches. Frank Lampard aims to land the German shot-stopper if they can get a suitable buyer as they seek to recoup part of the £72m paid for the Spaniard.
Local reports in Germany made claims that negotiations between Neuer representatives and the club aren’t going as planned, and the veteran goalkeeper wants a deal that will keep him for a long time in the club, in which the Munich outfit isn’t prepared to agree. The 34-year old contract is due for expiration by the end of the next campaign.
Neuer’s representatives triggered a spark of speculation when they criticized the club’s ambition. He [Neuer] however denied and rubbished the reports insisting he wants to achieve more success with the club and the German national team.
Manuel Neuer enjoyed the first part of the season before the January transfer window brought another twist which led to the acquisition of Alexander Nubel from Schalke with the young goalkeeper due to the arrival of the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
