There are indications that Juventus striker, Alvaro Morata may return to his parent club, Atletico Madrid as reports says the Serie A giant might not pay the La Liga champions €35m to make his move permanent in the summer.
Juventus had loaned the Spaniard for two seasons, and part of the loan agreement was an option to buy. The Serie A giants had already paid €20m for a two-year loan but will need to secure him permanently at the end of the current campaign for €35m.
Tuttosport reports that Juventus are unwilling to pay the entire fee. This has led to a new round of talks between the two clubs with Juventus asking Atletico Madrid to lower their economic demands.
Moise Kean was also signed similarly from Everton last summer. The Italy international rejoined Juventus on a two-year loan worth €7m with an obligation to buy the 21-year-old for €28m plus €3m add-ons.
Indications have further shown that Bianconeri wants to sign Serbia striker, Dusan Vlahovic. Having made the Fiorentina striker, who is yet to sign a new deal at Florence their top transfer target, if Juventus manage to secure his services, Morata could return to Madrid in the summer.
Meanwhile, it is not only Juventus that is interested in Vlahovic. Other clubs interested include Tottenham, Arsenal and Inter.
This season, injuries have hampered Morata’s performance, with four goals scored in 14 appearances across all competitions.
It won’t be a surprise if the situation changes and Morata start getting the goals and more team performance.
With double-figure goals and a high number of assists, the Bianconeri might leave up to their obligation on the Spaniard, and allow others to sign Vlahovic.
With Juventus lacking the firepower at the moment, it is an opportunity for Morata to convince the Juventus board that he is worth the cumulative amount needed to make his move to Turin permanent.
