Juventus director Pavel Nedved has lauded the new signing, Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serb has been in hot form since completing his move to the Old Lady from Fiorentina. He faced his former team in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday night.
Due to this, the former Juventus midfielder has compared the striker to Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club for Manchester United last summer.
While noting that nothing is easy in football, Nedved said Juventus have objectives throughout the season, and winning the competition is one of them.
Nedved, in an interview, said there is no tension within the club after the decision to delay contract extension negotiations. One of the players affected is Paulo Dybala.
He explained that the club spoke clearly with the players in question and they acknowledged the club’s decision. Since they are all still under contract, the vice-president said there is no problem for neither of the party as they behave professionally”.
He also admitted that the game between Juventus and Fiorentina was never a normal match as the rivalry between both clubs Juventus goes back decades and then heightened by the Vlahovic transfer in January.
Speaking over the absence of nine players, Nedved said there is faith in the available players, adding that it’s a real test for the young players.
being honest in his assessment of Vlahovic, Nedved expressed his surprise, adding that if the striker born in 2000 continues with this mentality, he can do great things.
Convinced that the future belongs to him, Nedved said he is an intelligent player who knows how to prepare for games. He also lauded him for his humility, saying that is so important for a player to become a champion.
While noting that the Serb is on the right track, Nedved said it is nice when young players who are hungry and humble come to ask you for advice.
