Danel Sinani has signed a pre-contract agreement with Norwich City and will join his new teammates ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Norwich City announced the signing of the Luxembourg international, who will arrive at Carrow Road on a free transfer before next season. Norwich City has signed the 23-year-old forward to a three-year contract, which means he will remain with the team through 2023.
Sinani will be part of the team at the end of the current season after running down his final contract with F91 Dudelange.
The official unveiling of Sinani looks likely to be delayed for some time, as the season is still on hiatus because of coronavirus concerns.
Norwich City is bottom of the Premier League standings, eight points adrift of safety, with only eight games left to play.
Sinani will not know if he will play for a Premier League or a Championship team until it is safe for Norwich Ciry to complete their schedule. He does look forward to the new challenge in England.
“Norwich is a very big club with many good players. I will try to do my best and try to continue to hopefully score goals and to help the team to get in a high position,” Sinani told Norwich’s official website.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about Norwich City and I’m really excited to join you guys in the summer. For me, the most important thing in our situation is that you’re keeping well and keeping safe.”
Sinani might become the first Luxembourg player in the Premier League if Norwich City can pull off a miracle and stay in the Premier League, already proved his worth on a big stage after impressive performances in the UEFA Europa League with F91 Dudelange.
