Norwich City’s youngster Max Aarons is a transfer target for fellow English Premier League Tottenham Hotspur for the summer.
This is according to reports coming from the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho’s side are prioritizing his move ahead of the off-season transfer in the summer.
Max Aarons, 20, is primarily a right-back strong both defensively and attack wise being one of the few shining lights in a rather poor season for the Canaries.
The 20-year-old has featured 23 times for Daniel Farke’s side despite the season being his first in the English Premier League after he got promoted with the side from the Championship as winners.
Spurs needs an addition to the right-back position, having sold Kieran Trippier, putting all responsibility on Ivorian Serge Aurier.
Other wing-backs are out on loan, including Danny Rose at Newcastle and Kyle Walkers at Southampton.
Max Aarons was linked with a move out of Carrow Road in the January transfer window as Spurs North London rivals, Arsenal also interested but Norwich failed to sell.
Norwich City’s reluctance to sell one of their best players so far this season is quite understandable as the team sits bottom of the English Premier League table with just 18 points from as many games played so far this season.
Defensively Daniel Farke’s men are not up with the best teams in the league as they have conceded 47 goals, the joint lowest in the English Premier League this season, and have only managed to score 24 in 25 games.
One of the shining lights of the defence is Max Aarons, and the Canaries will not want to let go as they fight to beat the relegation with 13 games left in the Premier League.
