Paulo Dybala’s contract with Juventus expires next summer, the player has not yet signed an extension, and according to the Italian media, Liverpool is closely monitoring the situation.
Dybala came to Juventus in 2015 from Parma. Since his arrival at Turin, the player has become one of the main stars of the club.
The 28-year-old has 108 goals and 269 first-team appearances. In addition, he has helped the club secure five Seria A crowns and four Coppa Italia.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool would be very interested in acquiring Dybala’s services to reinforce the club’s attack and deal with the departure of key players such as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who will go to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
For this reason, the Reds would be approaching Dybala to deal a transfer in January as a free agent.
In a recent interview with DAZN, Dybala was asked about a new contract with Juve, and he said: “Right now, the club has other things to resolve so for now we can wait on this.
“What’s happening now is more important than my contract.”
Dybala’s statements leave the door open to suppose there is still no agreement between the player and the club.
However, the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that the Argentine player has already reached an agreement with Juve to extend his contract until the summer of 2026.
On his part, Jurgen Klopp is desperate to devise an action plan that guarantees him to continue fighting for the Premier League title without his leading attacking figures.
