Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe recently spoke very highly of German giants Bayern Munich also claiming that Lucas Hernandez tried convincing him to join the Bavarian club.
The French superstar has been linked with Real Madrid for some time now and it looks like Los Blancos are eager to sign him this summer. However, he recently opened up on how his France teammate Hernandez is trying to convince him to join Bayern.
The youngster praised the Bavarian giants and revealed how one of their players is trying to persuade him to join Bayern.”Lucas Hernandez told me that I should come to Munich to play for Bayern,” Mbappe told SportsBild.
“Bayern is one of the five best clubs in the world. One can only congratulate them on how they manage to keep the quality in the squad every year. They just know what they’re doing.
“Now [Jerome] Boateng and [David] Alaba have left, but [Dayot] Upamecano, who is an excellent defender, came in. They have a clear concept that makes them a great club.
“And yes, you are always a favourite for any title. So I’ll always have to win against Bayern in the future if I want to win a trophy.”
However, the young sensation did not open up whether he would leave the French capital this summer or not. “In football, you never know what’s going to happen. But I am currently very happy as it is,” Mbappe went on adding.
Mbappe has set world football on fire ever since he arrived at the world stage at Monaco way back in 2015. His impressive performances forced PSG to snap him up for £155m in 2017. The youngster has not looked back ever since.
He helped Monaco clinch the Ligue 1 title after 17 long years and also inspired them to reach the Champions League semi finals. But he has only improved at PSG playing with the likes of Neymar, Angel Di Maria and others.
In his 171 outings for PSG in all competitions, Mbappe has scored 132 goals along with 61 assists. He has helped the club win 10 trophies in his time and has also inspired them to reach the Champions League finals for the first time in their club history.
While PSG are adamant that they want to keep hold of the World Cup winner, teams like Real Madrid and Bayern are interested in the 22-year old and may submit lucrative offers this summer testing the resolve of the Parisiens.
