Pukki Ends Goal Drought as Norwich Draws Arsenal

    December 2, 2019

Norwich City, on Sunday evening in the English Premier League, got one time of North London side Arsenal after playing out a 2-2 draw with the gunners at Carrow road.

The result means that the canaries have not gone to games unbeaten after winning their game last weekend against Everton away from home which they beat by two goals to nil

Canaries striker Teemu Pukki ended his 8-game premier league goal drought after opening the scoring in the first 20 minutes of the game through a strike which deflected off Shkodran Mustafi.

However, a few minutes later, Arsenal restored parity with a penalty after Christoph Zimmerman was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area.

Up stepped Gabonese striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to score and put Arsenal on level terms in the game the goal was a pointer to how much the former Dortmund striker loved scoring against newly-promoted sides as it was his tenth English premier league goal in eleven English premier league in matches involving the Gunners and promoted clubs.

Canaries midfielder, Todd Cantwell, restored Norwich’s lead just before half time. Aubameyang completed the brace 12 minutes into the second half and ensured Arsenal at least got the point.

Daniel Farke’s side now has moved towards safety with just three points away to move away from the relegation zone.

For Arsenal, it is their first results since the sacking of Unai Emery on Friday morning. Thus, it was former Arsenal forward Freddy Ljungberg, who was hired as an interim manager that took charge of Arsenal.

However, Arsenal’s Winless Streak continued as the Gunners have failed to win a game in their last eight games in all competitions.
The Gunners have now dropped into the number 8 position on the log and are seven points apart from a spot in the top four positions.

Norwich will next travel to Southampton in midweek while the Gunners host Brighton.

Norwich are priced at 4.56 to defeat Southampton, while Southampton are backed at 1.76.
