Real Madrid targeting Youri Tielemans and Rafael Leao this summer

Last summer, Real Madrid failed to make as many transfer targets as the club’s faithful would have hoped for. Nevertheless, the Los Blancos brought in Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger in the summer, but it was always obvious that Carlo Ancelotti needed more young blood.

With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos getting closer to Forty, Ancelotti admitted that it was time to bring in fresh legs.

In all fairness Real Madrid after a couple of young stars headlined by PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Jude Bellingham. However, Mbappe stayed back in France while Haaland joined Manchester City.

There isn’t a tone of finality to Bellingham’s final destination, but Liverpool, Manchester United, and City are jostling with Real Madrid for his signature.

In the case of his unavailability, Real Madrid are planning to sign Rafael Leao and Youri Tielemans as cheaper alternatives to their first options.

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao was offered to the Spanish giants, but reports say a deal is unlikely as Real Madrid are not responding positively to Jorge Mendes’s offering of Leao.

Furthermore, the presence of Vinicius Junior in the team will make Rafael Leao’s presence a liability, and rather than signing him, Real Madrid would stick to the pursuit of Bellingham, who will cost them over $120M.

Leao has played 23 games for AC Milan in the Seria A this season, scoring eight goals and providing 6 assists, while Vinicius Junior has seven goals and four assists in 23 games in the Seria A.

For Youri Tielemans, he is seen as a cheaper alternative to Jude Bellingham, who is becoming above budget for the Los Blancos. Youri Tielemans currently plays for Leicester City in the Premier League.

He has played 23 games for the Foxes this season in the Premier League and has scored three times. Real Madrid are 8 points behind rivals Barcelona on the La Liga table after failing to win in their last game against Real Betis on Sunday, playing a goalless draw.
