    Richarlison close to Tottenham move

    July 1, 2022

Tottenham and Everton have reached an agreement over Brazilian forward Richarlison as the North London club prepares to bring him to the White Hart Lane for the new season.

Richarlison is now due for a medical at White Hart Lane ahead of a move which is valued at around £50M. Spurs have already agreed to a personal deal with the Olympic gold winner.

He scored six times for the team as they narrowly missed relegation last season, but in total, he scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for the Merseyside club.

Selling Richarlison for a fee of around £50M will help the Toffees balance their books after making over £350M loss in three seasons.

The Merseyside club brought in Demarai Gray, Vitaliy Mykolenko, and Nathan Patterson last season for a combined fee of above £50M.

The choice has been either Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin as one of the players to sell in other to balance the books after posting losses in previous seasons.

The team is desperately looking for ways to balance their books for profitability and provide enough for Frank Lampard to work with after securing Premier League safety.

Tottenham’s season ended with a UEFA Champions League finish, while Everton managed to escape relegation to the championship.

Meanwhile, Everton is about to open contract extension talks with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford whose contract is left with two years.

Pickford arrived at Merseyside from Sunderland in 2018 for £30M signing a six-year contract.

Furthermore, Everton is expected to bring in James Tarkowski, who left Burnley at the end of last season after the Clarets were relegated.

Everton will start their new season at Chelsea before another away game at Aston Villa.

The Goodison Park outfit finished in sixteenth position with 39 points from 38 games even though they lost their final game of the season to Arsenal.
