With the full preseason games to kick off in full gear, several Bayern senior players will resume training sessions tomorrow.
This scheduled training set for Friday will see Bayern’s new man Sadio Mane link up with other club senior players.
Mane, who moved from the Premier League side Liverpool for a fee of about €35m, will now link up with his new teammates for the first time for the new 2022/2023 Bundesliga season.
Although there has been a previous training session in the past few days, it was mostly a couple of senior squad members ( Dayot Upamecano, Ryan Gravenberch) with a mix of youth players and returning loan players like Joshua Zirkzee partaking in the exercise.
Other veterans like Thomas Muller, club skipper Manuel Neuer, and the transfer exit-bound Robert Lewandowski are due to return from their vacation to the club by Friday morning.
Bayern will travel to the United States to play their first game of the preseason as they take on DC United on Thursday 21t of July, before facing Manchester City two days later, after which comes a league super cup game against RB Leipzig.
Taking a look at the club’s transfer business, the Bavarians are set to submit an official bid for Netherlands international centre-back Mathias De Ligt as they look to reinforce their defensive department following the departure of Niklas Sule to rivals Dortmund.
Another concern is the transfer of Robert Lewandowski, who is ok the verge of exiting the club with Spanish giants Barcelona looking to sign the Poland international. Bayern is still yet to accept an offer from Barcelona as reports claim the amount offered by the Catalonia side falls short of the required amount.
As for Lewy, there are indications his mind is already set on a move to Barca as talks remain in motion regarding the impending move between both clubs.
