Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos could return for Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League tie in midweek.
The La Liga Champions will face Borussia Monchengladbach, and having the experienced defender back will be a booster.
Zinedine Zidane’s side has recently recorded inconsistent results, including poor defending that has seen the team conceding penalties.
Real Madrid lost 2-0 to Shakthar Donetsk in Ukraine last week in the UEFA Champions League but was able to get a 1-0 victory against Sevilla in the La Liga at the weekend.
According to the manager, the defender was fit for the game against Sevilla, which Real won 1-0, but he decided not to risk him.
Real Madrid needs a win in their last UEFA Champions League game against the German side to ensure qualification into the last 16 of the competition.
Zidane will be without Eden Hazard, and Mariano Diaz for the game as both players remain sidelined through injury.
Similarly, Barcelona will also be without French forward Ousmane Dembele for the UEFA Champions League tie against Juventus at the Camp Nou after the striker pulled his hamstring in the defeat to Cadiz at the weekend.
Dembele came on as a 2nd half substitute in the 2-1 loss, but tests carried out after the match revealed the injury.
Alvaro scored the winner for Cadiz on Saturday as Barcelona remain in 8th.
The 23-year old has endured a very torrid time with several degrees of injuries since joining Barcelona from Dortmund.
However, after recognizing the injuries, he has been impressive for new manager Ronald Koeman with four goals and two assists in all competitions this season.
Barcelona is through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League after keeping their 100% record with a win against Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine last week, sitting on the top of the standings with 15 points.
