2021 Formula 1 Drivers and Teams

    January 13, 2021

We are in the middle of one of the most active offseasons in terms of team changes in Formula 1. Yes, many of them were made official before last season ended but still. Eight of the 10 teams will have a different driver lineup to last season, with Williams and Alfa Romeo as the only teams that remain the same.

Let’s go over the moves, starting with the Formula 1 rookies for 2021. The son of the legendary Michael Schumacher, Mick, has signed for Haas. His teammate will be fellow rookie Nikita Mazepin of Russia.

Yuki Tsunoda, a 20-year-old from Japan, will race for Alpha Tauri, alongside Pierre Gasly. Schumacher, Mazepin and Tsunoda are all rookie drivers, with many projecting Tsunoda to finish highest amongst them becaus he will be in a much better car.

Former Formula 1 World Drivers’ Champion, Fernando Alonso, returns to race for Alpine Renault, along Esteban Ocon. Sebastian Vettel went from Ferrari to Aston Martin, with Lance Stoll as his teammate while Carlos Sainz joins Charles Leclerc at Ferrari. Daniel Ricciardo, on the other hand, is now with McLaren alongside Lando Norris. The final driver lineup is Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen with Red Bull.
