Spain’s Paula Badosa has tipped Novak Djokovic as a beast and feels he is the most complete player in the world. Djokovic is known for his mental toughness and has won some incredible matches in his glorious career. The Serb recently claimed his 23rd Grand Slam title after winning the French Open.
The veteran defeated Casper Ruud in the final in straight sets to write himself in the record books. In fact, Djokovic was not in the best of forms before Roland Garros but he brought his best to the court in those two weeks in Paris.
With this triumph, Djokovic became the most successful male tennis player of all time, leapfrogging his long rival Rafael Nadal’s tally of 22 Grand Slams. Furthermore, Djokovic became the first player to win all four Majors on at least three occasions.
“Mentally he is a beast. Competing and being so superior in each competition seems crazy to me. And in tennis he is the most complete. And physically he takes care of himself so much… It’s brutal,” Badosa said in an interview with El Larguero.
“Right now you can’t say anything other than he’s the best. He has shown it. The numbers are the numbers.”
On the other hand, Andy Murray feels Novak Djokovic makes it easier than it looks and lauded the veteran for his consistency.
“I’m not saying he makes it look easy but he makes it look a lot more easy than it should,” Murray said.
“I’m happy for him, he deserves it. When he beat me in the final of the (2016) French Open, he lost motivation so maybe he can take his eye off the ball for the next few weeks heading into Wimbledon!”
Novak Djokovic will look to continue his good form in the upcoming Wimbledon, which will begin on July 3.
