Real Madrid is a team any player would want to play for; the culture, pedigree, and history are there for all to see, not forgetting the frequent assurance of silverware. The fourteen times UEFA Champions League winners also have won 35 La Liga titles and 20 Copa del Rey crowns.
Therefore, it’s not a surprise that a recent signing from Germany and English midfielder Jude Bellingham has stated that he’s eager to win titles and make history with the Los Blancos.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund in a €103 million deal and six-year contract. The midfielder’s taste of silverware was in the 2020/2021 DFB-POKAL that Borussia Dortmund won, and he also featured at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
However, the player wants to experience more and add to what Real Madrid has won in their history as a club, taking it as a source of motivation to be the driving force.
“That is the motivation for the move in the first place, I want to be at a club that is going to be competing for titles, and I want to try and help the team and club be as brilliant as it has been for all of the time, really. Now is my chance to be part of that history, and that goes hand in hand because I know the club wants to win, and I want to win, so hopefully, it will happen.” Bellingham said.
Bellingham is part of the club’s rebuilding process after Casimero left for Manchester United, even though Toni Kross and Luka Modric signed respective contract extensions with a one-year deal each.
Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga will become the club’s future midfield trio, while French forward Kylian Mbappe is still expected to join Real Madrid.
