Giannis, LeBron Named in 2019-20 All NBA First Team

 

The NBA on Wednesday announced its 2019-20 All-NBA First team with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo unanimously selected.

It is the record 16th time that LeBron James is getting selected into the All-NBA team and thus surpassing the records of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan, who have all been selected 15 times.

Reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo received All NBA first team vote on all 100 ballots alongside LeBron James, who also had first-team votes on all 100 ballots.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden (474 points; 89 first-team votes), Lakers forward-center Anthony Davis (455, 79), and Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (416, 59) are the other players who join James and Antetokounmpo on the All-NBA first team.

It is the sixth time that James Harden is voted to the All-NBA First Team while it is the fourth time for Anthony Davies, for Luka Doncic, it is his All-NBA Team debut in just his second season, becoming the first player since Duncan in the 1998/1999 season to be selected for the All NBA first team within his first two seasons.

As posted on the official NBA website, The 2019-20 All-NBA Second Team consists of LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (372 total points), Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (311), Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard (284), Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul (199) and Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam (168).

The 2019-20 All-NBA Third Team is comprised of Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (153), Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (147), Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (110), Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons (61), and Rockets guard Russell Westbrook (56) as released by the NBA.

Meanwhile, the NBA Eastern and Western Conference finals match-ups have been confirmed, and in the WESTERN CONFERENCE Finals, Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets while in the Eastern Conference, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will face off.
