Match Preview
It’s yet another glorious night in the Champions League as teams play their second leg matches and tonight match promises to be a cracker, as Tottenham Hotspur head to RB Leipzig in Germany.
The North London side trail by a lone goal courtesy of a Timo Werner’s strike as Jose Mourinho’s men were humbled at home. Tottenham have a lot to do if they are to progress into the last 16 of the competition.
Many would have thought Leipzig are the underdogs, but they have somehow proven themselves both domestically and in Europe respectively and they are no pushovers. They have been unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and have amassed 50 points from 25 games in the Bundesliga sitting third on the log after their draw against Wolfsburg in the weekend.
The game between both sides was their first meeting, and that encounter was very explosive and physical, and it promises to be more suspense-filled in the second leg.
Tottenham on the other hand head into this game after a five-game winless run after four successive defeats in three different competitions.
They might have picked up a point against Burnley but have lost two of their last three games in the English top fights occupying the right position with seven points adrift top four.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham can overturn the 1-0 deficit in the first leg but they will definitely be missing their talismanic forward Harry Kane and Son Heung Min.
Team News
Ibrahima Konate and Kevin Kampl are unavailable through injury but they will have Dayot Upamecano available after suspension
Tottenham will be missing their forwards Harry Kane, Son Heung Min with powerful Moussa Sissoko also missing.
Predicition
Leipzig 2- 2 Tottenham
RB Leipzig are fancied at 1.55 to claim a win, Tottenham are priced at 4.58 to secure an away win, while a draw is set at 6.04
